DeadConcepts SSC (Structured Stretch Cummerbund)

DeadConcepts SSC - The DeadConcepts SSC (Structured Stretch Cummerbund) is constructed with 500D cordura, 500D Laminate cordura, Curv Thermoplastic, Elastic Webbing, and hook and loop velcro. 

Curv Thermoplastic provides rigidity to the cummerbund as a whole, with the rear portion of the Curv being free from the rear of the cummerbund. This excess Curv material is designed to slide into the rear plate bag to provide additional structure to the system as a whole, especially when running a heavier loadout.  If the user wants to be able to slide Curv into both the front and rear plate bag, the SSC can be made to have excess Curv at the front as well.

The rear of the SSC also features elastic webbing to allow the SSC to expand with the end user. This allows you to keep the SSC mounted in the same position when wearing thicker clothing during colder weather and it also allows the SSC to expand with the user when shooting from unconventional positions. 

The inner/body side of the SSC also features a full length loop velcro lining to attach our 5.56 Sandwich or any soft armor the end user would like to run. 

The SSC comes with standard hook and loop velcro mounting at the front and rear. QD mounting options such as First Spear Tubes can be added on for an additional fee, either hard sewn to the cummerbund or a separate adaptor that slides into the molle. (note: If choosing to have Tubes hard sewn to the SSC, one molle row will be removed to account for the length of the Tubes)

The SSC comes in 3 sizes. Small/Medium (S/M) - 7 molle columns, Medium/Large (M/L) - 9 molle columns and XL - 11 molle columns. 

The molle columns on the SSC have center opening that are just slightly wider than 1” so another companies QD adaptors may not fit. Please check the aftermarket adaptors you’d like to use to ensure fitment. 

Adaptors can be made to be used on other plate carriers. We offer adaptors for both Crye/First Spear style attachment types, as well as standard hook/loop attachment points. We also offer adaptors for the Gen2 USMC Plate Carrier. 

The price for a SSC adaptor is $50 regardless of attachment style.
